The Chinese mainland registered 13 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Of the imported cases, seven were reported in Sichuan, four in Guangdong and two in Shanghai.

Also on Saturday, 11 asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland, all imported. And a total of 243 asymptomatic patients were under medical observation.

There were 173 active cases as of Saturday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 13 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 89,975 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Saturday.
