Chinese mainland reports 14 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 14 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday.

Of new imported cases, four each were detected in Shanghai and Sichuan, two in Fujian, and one each in Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing and Shaanxi. There were 279 active imported cases as of Monday, the commission said in its daily report.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported on Monday, the commission said.

Totally 25 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 318 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 90,783, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
