The Chinese mainland reported 15 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, one locally transmitted in Yunnan Province, the National Health Commission said on Saturday.

Of new imported cases, three were detected in Shanghai, three in Guangdong, two each in Tianjin, Sichuan, Shaanxi, and one each in Inner Mongolia and Zhejiang, the commission said in its daily report.
There were 229 active imported cases as of Friday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while five COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 90,483 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Friday.
