The Chinese mainland registered 16 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all of which were imported, the National Health Commission said on Monday.

Also on Sunday, 27 asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland. And a total of 374 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

There were 408 active cases, including fourteen in critical condition on Chinese mainland as of Sunday, with two suspected cases. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while thirty COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 84,967 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
