The Chinese mainland reported 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Saturday, including three local transmissions, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Among the new domestically transmitted cases, two were detected in Inner Mongolia and one in Shanghai, said the commission’s daily report.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 86,431 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
