The Chinese mainland on Sunday recorded 17 new COVID-19 cases, all were imported, China's National Health Commission said on Monday. No new deaths were reported.

A total of 2,499 imported COVID-19 cases were registered on the Chinese mainland and 2,311 have recovered.

The total confirmed cases stand at 85,048, with 4,634 deaths and 340 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.
