The Chinese mainland reported 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, all imported, the National Health Commission said Friday.

Of the cases, five in Guangdong, four each in Shanghai and Yunnan, one each in Jiangsu, Fujian, Shandong and Guangxi, the commission said.
There were 756 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Thursday, eight of whom were in severe conditions. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 47 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 95,128, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
