The Chinese mainland reported 171 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, including 127 domestically transmitted and 44 imported, the National Health Commission said in its daily report on Tuesday.

Of the new local cases, 102 were reported in Henan, 18 in Tianjin, five in Guangdong, one each in Beijing and Shaanxi, the commission said.

Among the imported cases, 17 were reported in Shanghai, 13 in Guangdong, four in Yunnan, three each in Beijing and Sichuan, one each in Liaoning, Fujian, Hunan and Guangxi, according to the commission.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 105,258, and no new deaths from COVID-19 were reported on the day, it added.
