The Chinese mainland reported 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Wednesday, including nine local transmissions, the National Health Commission said on Thursday.

The new domestically transmitted cases were all detected in Inner Mongolia, said the commission’s daily report.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 86,490 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
