Chinese mainland reports 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 15 locally transmitted and six imported, the National Health Commission said on Monday.

All six locally transmitted cases were detected in Liaoning. Six new imported cases were reported in Inner Mongolia, three in Zhejiang, two in Shanghai, and one each in Beijing, Tianjin, Guangdong and Sichuan, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

A total of 3,948 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 270 remained hospitalized, including three in severe conditions, the commission said.
