The Chinese mainland on Tuesday reported 21 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said Wednesday.

Of the imported cases, 15 were reported in Guangdong, three in Shanghai, two in Jiangsu and one in Sichuan, the commission said in its daily report.

There were 337 active imported cases as of Tuesday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 17 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 91,492 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Tuesday.
