The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 22 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, including three locally transmitted cases and 19 arriving from outside the mainland, the National Health Commission said Monday.

The locally transmitted cases were reported in Yunnan Province, the commission said in its daily report.

Of the imported cases, six were reported in Shanghai, five each in Guangdong and Yunnan, two in Sichuan, and one in Shaanxi , the commission said.

There were 393 active imported cases as of Sunday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 21 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 91,869 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Sunday.
