Chinese mainland reports 23 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 23 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, one locally transmitted and 22 imported, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

One locally transmitted case was detected in Liaoning Province. Eleven new imported cases were reported in Shanghai, two each in Beijing, Inner Mongolia and Shaanxi, and one each in Zhejiang, Fujian, Henan, Guangdong and Sichuan, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

A total of 3,848 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 267 remained hospitalized, including four in severe conditions, the commission said.
