Chinese mainland reports 24 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 24 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Saturday, 3 domestically transmitted in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and 21 imported, the National Health Commission said Sunday.

Of the new imported cases, 7 were reported in Gansu, 4 in Fujian, 5 in Shanghai, 3 in Guangdong, 3 in Inner Mongolia, 1 in Sichuan and 1 in Shaanxi, the commission said in its daily report.

No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 85,997 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
