The Chinese mainland reported 24 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all were imported, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Among the imported cases, ten were reported in Yunnan, six in Shanghai, two in Shandong, one each in Liaoning, Zhejiang, Fujian, Henan, Guangxi and Sichuan, the commission said in its daily report.

There were 731 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Saturday, one of whom was in severe condition. No deaths related to the disease were reported on Saturday, while 59 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 96,398, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
