The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 25 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, including five locally transmitted cases and 20 arriving from outside the mainland, the National Health Commission said Saturday.
Among the imported cases, five were reported in Shanghai, three in Guangdong, three in Yunnan, two in Shandong, two in Hunan, two in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and one each in Tianjin, Liaoning and Henan, the commission said in its daily report.
Among the local cases, three were reported in Liaoning and two in Yunnan, the commission said.
There were 809 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Friday, with seven in critical conditions. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 76 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 98,608, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
