Chinese mainland reports 26 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 3 locally transmitted

The Chinese mainland reported 26 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, including three domestically transmitted and 23 imported, the National Health Commission said Thursday.

Among the local cases, all three were reported in Yunnan, the commission said in its daily report.

Of the imported cases, nine were reported in Guangdong, seven in Yunnan, three in Shanghai, one each in Tianjin, Liaoning, Zhejiang and Fujian, the commission said.

There were 1,497 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Wednesday, 14 of whom were in severe conditions. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 104 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
