Chinese mainland reports 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

Chinese health authorities on Wednesday said that 27 new COVID-19 cases were reported on the Chinese mainland on Tuesday, of which 22 were domestically transmitted and five were imported, with no additional deaths and new asymptomatic cases.

All of the domestically transmitted cases were registered in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

Two imported cases were registered in Shanghai, one in Beijing, one in southwest China's Sichuan Province, one in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, the report said.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 84,491 and the cumulative death toll at 4,634.
