Chinese mainland reports 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday, 15 locally transmitted and 12 imported, the National Health Commission said on Tuesday.

Eight locally transmitted cases were detected in Liaoning and seven in Beijing. Four new imported cases were reported in Shanghai, three in Sichuan, and one each in Tianjin, Inner Mongolia , Fujian, Henan and Guangdong, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

A total of 3,965 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 265 remained hospitalized, including three in severe conditions, the commission said.
