The Chinese mainland on Sunday reported 27 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 20 locally transmitted cases and seven arriving from outside the mainland, the National Health Commission said Monday.

The locally transmitted cases were reported in Guangdong Province, the commission said in its daily report.
Of the imported cases, three were reported in Guangdong, two in Shanghai, one each in Fujian and Henan.
There were 290 active imported cases as of Sunday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 18 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 91,099, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
