The Chinese mainland reported 3,474 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, including 3,405 domestically transmitted and 69 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Saturday.
The Chinese mainland also reported 31,709 asymptomatic infections on Friday, including 31,504 locally transmitted and 205 imported, the National Health Commission said.
There were 29,745 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Friday, with 112 in critical condition.
Friday also saw 1,893 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 304,093 and the death toll stood at 5,232.
