Chinese mainland reports 3 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 25 new asymptomatic cases

Chinese health authority said on Monday it received reports of three new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Sunday, among which one were domestically contracted and two were imported.

The Chinese mainland registered no deaths and five suspected cases on Sunday.

According to the National Health Commission, 80 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery, while the number of severe cases increased by one to 52.

As of Sunday, the mainland had reported a total of 1,636 imported cases. Of the cases, 1,009 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 22 were in severe condition, said the commission.

Also on Sunday, 25 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported on the mainland, including one imported ones. The commission said 974 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation, including 131 from abroad.
