Chinese mainland reports 33 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland registered 33 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 32 from overseas and one domestically transmitted, the National Health Commission said on Monday.

The one domestically transmitted case was reported in Tianjin, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

No deaths related to the disease were reported Sunday, while 19 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals. Altogether, 81,187 patients have been discharged from hospitals by Sunday, the report said.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 86,245 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
