The Chinese mainland reported 4,409 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, including 4,351 domestically transmitted and 58 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Wednesday.
The Chinese mainland also reported 20,912 asymptomatic infections on Tuesday, including 20,764 locally transmitted and 148 imported, the National Health Commission said.

There were 42,955 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Tuesday, with 128 in critical condition.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 349,938 and the death toll stood at 5,235.
