The Chinese mainland registered 5 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, all of which were imported, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday.

Also on Tuesday, 6 asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland. And a total of 335 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

There were 305 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Tuesday, including 6 in critical condition. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 22 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 86,469 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
