Chinese mainland reports 6 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 5 new asymptomatic cases

Chinese health authority said on Sunday it received reports of six new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, including five from aboard. 

The Chinese mainland registered no deaths but two new suspected cases on Saturday.

According to the National Health Commission, three people were discharged from hospitals after recovery, while the number of severe cases reduced by one.

As of Saturday, the mainland had reported a total of 1,776 imported cases. Of the cases, 1,710 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, said the commission.

Also on Saturday, five new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported on the mainland, including one imported. The commission said 236 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation, including 43 from abroad.
