The Chinese mainland reported 109 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, including 60 domestically transmitted and 49 imported, data from the National Health Commission showed on Friday.

The Chinese mainland also reported 455 asymptomatic infections on Thursday, including 390 locally transmitted and 65 imported, the National Health Commission said.
There were 1,754 active cases on the Chinese mainland as of Thursday, with 25 in critical condition.
Thursday also saw 151 COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals, the commission added.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 229,294 and the death toll stood at 5,226.
