Chinese mainland reports 7 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, all imported

The Chinese mainland registered 7 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all of which are imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Of the imported cases, two were reported in Shanghai, two in Guangdong and one each in Inner Mongolia, Sichuan and Shaanxi.

Also on Saturday, 17 asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland. And a total of 428 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

There were 689 active cases, including 12 in critical condition on Chinese mainland as of Saturday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 81 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 89,763 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,636.
