Chinese mainland reports 7 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, all imported

The Chinese mainland registered seven new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, all of which are imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday.

Of the imported cases, six were reported in Guangdong, and one in Sichuan.

Also on Tuesday, six asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland. And a total of 363 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

There were 557 active cases, including 10 in critical condition on Chinese mainland as of Tuesday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 55 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 89,795 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,636.
