Chinese mainland reports 7 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, all imported

The Chinese mainland registered seven new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Monday.

Of the imported cases, three were reported in Shanghai, two in Gansu, one each in Liaoning and Guangdong.

Also on Sunday, eight asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland, all imported. And a total of 235 asymptomatic patients were under medical observation.

There were 159 active cases as of Sunday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while eleven COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 90,106 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Sunday.
