The Chinese mainland on Saturday reported 74 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 50 locally transmitted cases and 24 arriving from outside the mainland, the National Health Commission said Sunday.

Of the local cases, 21 were detected in Hebei, nine in Liaoning, six in Heilongjiang, four in Sichuan, three each in Henan and Yunnan, two in Gansu.

Of the imported cases, nine were reported in Yunnan, three each in Shanghai and Guangdong, two each in Liaoning and Shaanxi, one each in Beijing, Fujian, Shandong, Henan and Guangxi.

There were 1169 active cases on Chinese mainland, with 32 in critical condition. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 46 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 97,734 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Saturday.
