Chinese mainland reports 75 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland reported 75 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, 55 locally transmitted and 20 imported, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday.

A total of 29 locally transmitted cases were detected in Heilongjiang, 14 in Jilin, seven in Hebei, four in Beijing and one in Shanghai.

Seven new imported cases were detected in Guangdong, five in Shanghai, four in Gansu, two in Tianjin and one each in Jiangsu and Sichuan, the National Health Commission said in its daily report.

A total of 4,351 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 293 remained hospitalized, including three in severe conditions, the commission said.
