The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 75 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 57 locally transmitted cases and 18 arriving from outside the mainland, the National Health Commission said Saturday.

Among the imported cases, six were reported in Yunnan, four in Shanghai, Three in Tianjin, one each in Beijing, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and Guangxi, the commission said in its daily report.

Among the local cases, 40 were reported in Liaoning, four each in Henan and Inner Mongolia, three in Jiangxi, two in Heilongjiang, one each in Beijing, Hebei, Sichuan and Yunnan, the commission said.

There were 1,309 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Friday, with 21 in critical conditions. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 46 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 98,174, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.
