Chinese health authorities said on Monday that it received reports of eight new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Sunday, all of which were imported.

North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reported four new imported COVID-19 cases on Sunday by international flights diverted from Beijing to the region, local health authorities said Monday.

Guangdong Province reported two new cases on Sunday, followed by Shanghai and Shandong Province in East China with one confirmed case each.

Beijing observed its seventh day of no infections on Sunday since an outbreak reignited on June 11, with 14 people discharged from hospitals.

No deaths related to the disease were reported on Sunday, according to the commission.

Another 14 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery.
