The Chinese mainland registered eight new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, all of which were imported, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday. No new deaths were reported.

A total of 2,517 imported COVID-19 cases were registered on the Chinese mainland and 2,341 have recovered as of Tuesday.

Also on Tuesday, 19 asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland. And a total of 353 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation.

As of Tuesday, China has reported a total of 85,066 confirmed cases and a total of 4,634 deaths.
