Chinese mainland reports 8 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, all imported

The Chinese mainland registered eight new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all of which were imported, the National Health Commission said Monday.

Of the new imported cases, three were reported in Sichuan, two in Guangdong, one each in Shanxi, Jiangsu and Shaanxi, the commission said in its daily report.

No deaths had been reported from the imported cases.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 86,346 and the cumulative death toll is at 4,634.
