Chinese mainland reports 8 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, all imported

The Chinese mainland registered eight new COVID-19 cases on Friday, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Saturday.

Of the imported cases, three were reported in Guangdong, two in Shanghai, and one each in Liaoning, Hunan and Sichuan.
A total of 84,734 cases have been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 454 remained hospitalized, including five in severe condition, the commission said, adding that no deaths related to the disease were reported on Friday.
