The Chinese mainland reported 80 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, of whom 65 were locally transmitted and 15 were imported, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Of the locally transmitted cases, 29 were detected in Heilongjiang, 19 in Hebei, 12 in Jilin, three in Shanghai and two in Beijing.

A total of 4,306 imported cases had been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 298 remained hospitalized, including two in severe conditions, the commission said.
