The Chinese mainland registered nine new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, all of which were imported, the National Health Commission said on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, 14 asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland. And a total of 354 asymptomatic patients were under medical observation.
There were 141 active cases on Chinese mainland as of Thursday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 11 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
As of Thursday, the total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 85,223 and the cumulative death toll was 4,634.
