Chinese mainland reports nine new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland on Tuesday reported nine newly confirmed COVID-19 cases, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said Wednesday.

Of the imported cases, two each were reported in Fujian, Hubei and Yunnan, and one each in Hunan, Guangdong and Sichuan, the commission said.
There were 393 active imported cases as of Tuesday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 13 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stood at 91,780 and the cumulative death toll was 4,636 as of Tuesday.
