Chinese mainland reports no new local COVID-19 cases, 1 from overseas

Chinese health authorities on Wednesday reported 1 new confirmed COVID-19 case, which is an imported case in Shanghai, and 2 new asymptomatic COVID-19 patients.

Zero COVID-19 case was reported in Beijing for 10 consecutive days. 23 individuals recovered and were discharged from hospital on Wednesday.

No deaths related to the disease were reported, according to the commission.

Altogether 78,719 patients had been cured and discharged from hospitals by Wednesday.

The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 83,612 and the cumulative death toll at 4,634.
