The Chinese mainland registered seven new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

Of the imported cases, three were reported in Shanghai, two in Sichuan, and one each in Guangdong and Liaoning.

A total of 84,772 cases have been discharged from hospitals after recovery while 423 remained hospitalized, including two in severe condition, the commission said, adding that no deaths related to the disease were reported on Saturday.
