The Chinese mainland registered six new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all of which were imported cases, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.
Of the imported cases, two each were reported in Fujian and Yunnan, one each in Tianjin and Guangdong.
Also on Saturday, six asymptomatic cases were reported on the mainland, all imported. And a total of 257 asymptomatic patients were under medical observation.
There were 218 active cases, including one in critical condition as of Saturday. No deaths related to the disease were reported, while 18 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals.
The total number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland stands at 89,893 and the cumulative death toll is at 4636.
