Chinese passengers anticipate the opening of Hong Kong high speed rail

The pre-sales of tickets for Hong Kong's upcoming high-speed rail link with the Chinese mainland started on Sept. 10.

The pre-sales include tickets for all the short haul journeys to and from the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and the six stations in the Chinese mainland, as well as all the medium to long haul journeys connecting to 38 destinations.

Passengers can purchase tickets through the ticketing counters and ticket machines at the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, or through online ticketing and tele-ticketing systems.

The 26-kilometer Hong Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL), starting from the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and linking Hong Kong with the Chinese mainland, is set to be commissioned on Sept. 23.
