Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the Group of 20 summit in Japan’s Osaka from June 27 to 29, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced Sunday.

“At the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, President Xi will attend the 14th meeting of G20 in Osaka,” said Lu Kang, spokesman of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement.
