Chinese seniors show off gymnastic stunts at 'Elderly Olympics Games'

Sport-savvy seniors gathered at a local park in north China’s Tianjin Municipality to compete in the gymnastic events during the city’s annual “Elderly Olympic Games” on Tuesday. (Photos: VCG)
Nearly 50 senior athletes showed off their gymnastic stunts on parallel bars, rings and poles, pulling off challenging movements such as splits, twists and rolls.
Aside from the gymnastic games, hundreds of seniors are to compete in a total of 18 events including croquet, Tai Chi, roller skating and Chinese square dancing.
The youngest participant is 55, and the eldest is 69.
