BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) - China's major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.29 percent at 2,931.90 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.58 percent to end at 9,320.19 points at midday. 

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, went up 0.76 percent to 1,565.55 points in the morning session Thursday.
