BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended lower in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ending 0.47 percent lower at 2,884.41 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went down 0.26 percent to end at 11,045.73 points at midday.
