BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening flat at 3,017.15 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.04 percent higher at 10,298.51 points.

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.02 percent to open at 1,792.71 points.
