Chinese vaccine maker Changchun Changsheng, whose rabies vaccines involved in drug safety scandal, has been fined and its illegal income has been confiscated, both totaling 9.1 billion yuan ($1.3 billion), according to a statement by China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) on Tuesday.

The provincial food and drug administration of Jilin also revoked the company's pharmaceutical production license, the statement said.

The company also released its compensation program on the same day. The company will pay 650,000 yuan per person ($94,000) for those who died after using the illegal vaccine.
